Whitley Queen Project

Some creative concepts are too compelling to ignore. The goal was to produce a high-value, fully realized themed photoshoot that would push our creative boundaries. The search wasn't just for a model, but for a collaborator who could embody a complex vision. We found that in Whitley Queen, whose portfolio perfectly matched the aesthetic required for the **alt photoshoot** we had in mind.
After a brief meeting confirmed our creative chemistry, we solidified two distinct concepts: a dark, baroque **vampire photoshoot** and an ethereal water goddess. Using Midjourney, we created a detailed vision board, establishing the look and feel for the characters. With the blueprint set, we moved to execution.
Part I: The Gothic Photoshoot
The studio was prepared as a gothic setting, utilizing vintage furniture and dark drapery. Lady RayAnn's work on hair and makeup was meticulous, resulting in a flawless **gothic vampire** look. The lighting was purely cinematic, built with two Godox continuous lights to sculpt the scene. The results had the exact dramatic quality we were aiming for.

Part II: The Water Goddess
The second phase required a complete transformation under significant time pressure. We traveled to a remote location in Belton, Texas, with less than two hours of usable sunlight. On-site, we coordinated with Jose from Avilense Photography for drone capture and managed multiple cameras with the help of Ronnie P and my wife, Danie.
RayAnn took on the role of assistant director, managing the clock for each setup. We moved from land sets to the water, capturing silhouette shots as the sun set. A Neewer off-camera flash provided the necessary fill light. With only minutes of light left, we used a single Shutter Bomb to create a hazy, war-themed set of images, adding a final dramatic layer to the project.

When the smoke bomb faded, there was a shared sense of accomplishment. The project was a success because of the focused effort of a talented and dedicated team. It was a clear example of what can be achieved through strong collaboration.
